International Women's Day (March 8th) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. International Women's Day honors the work of the suffragettes, feminists, and pioneers who have fought for gender equality.

The first International Women's Day event was run in 1911, based on suffragettes campaigning for women's right to vote.

KBOO is celebrating International Women's Day in 2026 with our annual marathon, running from 12am on Saturday March 7th to 12am on Monday March 9th.

We'll also being airing specials throughout the month of March for Women's History Month. All the episodes will be archived below, so be sure to give them a listen!
