Protests against police brutality have been ongoing in Portland for the last two and a half months. On August 11th, new Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced a policy intended to limit the types of charges pressed against protesters in Portland.
Schmidt spoke with KBOO's Nat Moon about restorative justice, accountability for everyone including police officers, and other reform he'd like to see in the city.
