Join hosts Jack, Gordie, and Jonathan for a special Pastures of Plenty program of nautical themed folk songs of mayhem and merriment we call the Gales of November. The show takes its name from the immortal Gordon Lightfoot song "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", which tells the tragic tale of the November 1975 sinking of the once largest freighter plying the Great Lakes during the most notoriouos Gale of November of the 20th Century. Every November we pay hommage to nautical, and especially Great Lakes themed, including songs about shipwrecks, storms, lighthouses, and mermaids by artists like Gordaon Lightfoot, Stan Rodgers, Bard of the Great Lakes Lee Murdock, Shanghaied on the Willamette, and other Great Lakes and Pacific NW artists. Join us for a show sure to put a smile on your face. No KBOO volunteers will be harmed during this show.
