Interview w/Jorge Ahumada on TEAM Network at Conservation International
The Recovery Zone continues with a look at the importance of rainforests to human survival, the impacts of climate change, and new methods to track what's happening in them so that we can make smarter decisions. Host Stephanie Potter speaks with Jorge Ahumada, Executive Director of the Tropical Ecology Assessment and Monitoring Network (TEAM) at Conservation International to learn how these efforts are helping to provide real-time data for monitoring long-term trends in biodiversity to help guide conservation actions. Jorge Ahumada obtained his Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University, and has worked on the impacts of climate change on disease and biodiversity. He likes the outdoors, cooking, savoring good wine and is a frequent salsa dancer.
