Ugandan Gay Rights Activist Murdered

Ugandan gay rights activist David Kato has been beaten to death in his home.

According to activists, a local Ugandan newspaper, had published the photos and names of several gay people, including Kato.

The editor of the paper denies a connection bewtween printing the story and Kato's death.

He said, quote,  "We want the government to hang people who promote homosexuality, not for the public to beet them."
