A sequel to last year's acclaimed episode!

We're helping to kick off KBOO's Fall Drive in style with a follow-up to one of last year's most listened-to and loved Songcircle episodes, The Black & White Album, this time around featuring a whole new batch of stellar interpretations of songs from the latter half of The Beatles' career. We'll spotlight such legendary artists as James Brown (with an exceedingly rare version of a George Harrison classic), Ray Charles, Prince, Tina Turner, Sarah Vaughan, Bill Withers, Richie Havens, George Benson, Billy Preston, Booker T & The M.G.'s, The Brothers Johnson, and more! Tune in, celebrate the Sounds of Democracy, and join KBOO or renew your membership to start the drive off right!

Comments

The Swamp Dogg album is actually titled as above; the "... and Gassed" part of the title is from a later compilation. And the pic of Swamp with a gas mask is from a different album!

The James Brown track has indeed been anthologized, but on a relatively rare release.
