The In between / El Entremedio

El Entremedio is a show about the power of music to transport you elsewhere. The effects that music can have on us are as much a product of the music's histories as our own. Each show, I present a theme (a place, a rhythm, an instrument, a lyric, or an emotion) and together, we explore, explain, and contextualize music which fits the theme. El entremedio has a particular focus on Latin American, Latino, American, and Global alternative rhythms and genres, from Samba to Son, Senegalese Jazz to Uruguayan Pop to Chicano Soul. Airs every 3rd and 5th Thursday from 12:00 PM to 2:00PM.
