Today (Wednesday, Oct. 5) in Portland there will be a Rally for Clean Air before the Department of Environmental Quality holds its final statewide Cleaner Air Oregon public forum 6-8 PM, at the Oregon Convention Center (https://www.facebook.com/events/1026910014093503/). Jessica Applegate will talk about continuing issues with Bullseye Glass and other toxic industries in SE Portland; Greg Bourget will offer an overview of air pollution in the Portland area and the current regulatory framework; Paul Koberstein has been writing a series of investigative articles in the Portland Tribune on toxic releases from Precision Cast Parts and will discuss both air and water discharges (into Johnson Creek).
