Vanessa Renwick is the founder of the Oregon Department of Kick Ass and a member of the experimental film collective Peripheral Produce. The Portland Art Museum is currently featuring an multi-channel video and sound installation by Vanessa titled Next Level Fucked Up, as well as a retrospective of her films at the Northwest Film Center. Jenn Chavez talks with Vanessa about her multimedia work, her collaborations with local independent filmmakers, and the displacement of Portland's art communities.
