(Portland, OR) Excitement is building for the Health Care for All Oregon (HCAO) Blues Carnaval! Norman Sylvester and Bloco Alegria will take the stage at the historic Aladdin Theater for a night of celebrating, dancing, and fun!
Joining Norman’s Blues & Mardi Gras Showcase will be renowned musicians Chuk Barber, Tevis Hodge Jr., Renato Caranto and Peter Moss. Accompanying them on vocals will be Beck West and Lenanne Miller!
Ken Boddie joins the lineup as Master of Ceremonies for this full energy Music & Dance Concert benefit for Health Care For All Oregon. KBOO radio will be broadcasting live and KSKQ will have a simulcast for Ashland.
Norman’s commitment to this cause is known nationwide and has received numerous awards. In 2023 the National Federation of Musicians added to his honors when they chose Norman for their “Diversity Advocate Award” for this campaign of Universal Healthcare for Everyone.
Bloco Alegria (pictured above) is excited to bring the joyous Brazilian beat to the Blues Carnaval in support of the movement for Health Care for All! Let's celebrate and dance together for healthcare as a human right!
