Join us on Tuesday for a special hour-long call-in episode of Totality of Circumstances! We’ll be chatting in-studio with several members of the Police Accountability Commission (PAC), and you can add your voice to the conversation.
The group is in the last stretch of work before their final proposal for a police oversight body goes before City Council at the end of August. If the plan goes through as proposed it will create the first civilian body with the power to discipline police in the city's history, and would be unique in the nation. If the Council's recent hijinks around charter reform are any guide, we can expect the debate around the plan to be contentious at best. Check out our last show for coverage of the mostly frosty reception the PAC has received from City Council thus far.
