"I have traveled a good deal in Concord," said Thoreau, who wasn't much of a tourist. In fact, I am not sure why I thought of that quote in relation to this episode of Self Help Radio, which was about tourism. Hm.
The fate of tourism should we emerge from under the current pandemic is unknown, but certainly people love to travel from place-to-place, see things they might not otherwise see, & complain about people & things that are very different from them. That's what this show is about! & maybe also that's who this show is for!
To that end, there is plenty of music about tourism (see playlist below), plus interviews with young people who have been a few places, with a Hollywood tour guide, & with the most famous tourist in America. There's also another installment of the segment Chuck's Happily Unsophisticated Cinema Korner, & other stuff. It was a three-hour tour.
Too bad there wasn't a gift shop at the end!
