Reedman Jeff Clayton co-founded, with bassist brother John,
and drummer Jeff, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra.
Pianist Stanley Cowell co-founded, with friend and trumpeter Charles Tolliver,
the pioneering artist-owned and run Strata-East records,
and was a major contributor to the performance of Bill Lee's score
to his son Spike's first film "She's Gotta Have It",
in addition to his own memorable music.
Bassist Eugene Wright was the bassist for the Dave Brubeck Quartet
from 1958 to 1967 when that group disbanded, following many years
with Cal Tjader.
Please see my blog, on this web site, for a tribute to Candido Camero,
due to lack of space here, and on the show, for words to do him justice.
All four men were well recognized by all that knew them
for their character and kindness.
