Densie Morris hosts this episode of the Old Mole which includes:

Will He Go? Bill Resnick interviews Lawrence Douglas, Professor of Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought at Amherst College about his book Will He Go?  Trump and the Looming Election Meltdown in 2020. Douglas points out that Trump is desperate to stay in power and is setting up mechanisms to ensure he does. In the first part of a two-part interview They discussed why Trump will never concede and if he appears to be losing this November, how he and his forces and base could create a constitutional and political crisis in order to hold on to power. Resnick and Douglas agree that an effort to steal the election is the most likely scenario and that it could succeed. In part 2 they discuss how Trump can be stopped.

The Girl with the Louding Voice: Larry Bowlden reviews Abi Daré’s debut novel The Girl with the Lounding Voice, a story told from the perspective of Adunni, a young Nigerian woman trapped in a life of servitude but determined to fight for her dreams and choose her own future.

Silent Voices: Desiree Hellegers interviews playwright and activist/organizer Donna Hayes about her new play Silent Voices, which depicts the stories of nine people--including her grandson Quanice Hayes--who were killed by Portland Police. They talk also about her role in organizing the Pdx Car Caravan protesting police violence.

This Life: From the archive June 2019, the late Clayton Morgareidge reads his commentary based on Martin Hägglund’s This Life: Secular Life and Spiritual Freedom. "Life is short and fragile, which makes it precious. Capitalism wastes and abuses our time, while socialism can make our time our own."
