Residents of North and NE Portland are petitioning to end demilitarization in their neighborhoods. So far, the neighborhood call to action has gathered over 870 signatures out of the 1,000 signature goal.
KBOO spoke with one of the organizers Otti Sabina and the demands raised including to end targeting of peaceful protesters with bull rushes, mace, tear gas, other non lethal ammunition, and close the Portland Police Association office located at 1868 N Lombard.
