Interview with faculty union president
Suzanne Southerland, president of the Clark College Association for Higher Education, led a year long battle which included a three day strike this month. The 10% raises and pay equity for part-time professors were substantial gains for this precarious workforce. Southerland explains how they organized, both inspired by and adding to the Red for Ed strike wave of recent years.
