Oregon is one of the only states where electoral campaigns are not subjected to contribution or expenditure limits. Though money is certainly necessary to run a campaign, many voters and political scientists alike advocate for limits on how much one person or group can give to a campaign.

On December 10th at 6 p.m., the North Portland Library will be hosting a People Power Democracy forum on solutions to the problem of special interests and big money in politics. The event will feature Move to Amend, Wolf-PAC, Patrick Starnes, RepresentUS, OSPIRG and Honest Elections. Hans Huffman is a Wolf PAC Oregon volunteer who joined KBOO's Althea Billings and Ken Jones to discuss campaign finance and the upcoming event.

Wolf PAC is a national political action committee devoted to adding an amendment to the US Constitution to ensure transparency in campaign finance.
