“War is not the answer, because only love can conquer hate.”
—Marvin Gaye

As promised, we will be giving you some Marvin Gaye for our Spring Membership Drive!

With everything happening in this world right now, we at 'guess who's coming to radio??!!' wanted to send some (more) musical positive energy through the airwaves; and for this membership drive we knew that the music of Mr. Gaye was the perfect way to spread that love.

Rooted in gospel, soul & R&B, Marvin Gaye has this amazing ability to communicate to the varying generations and genres. He transcended in 1984, but reaches us still.

He came to prominence as a soul singer-songwriter with Motown in the 1960s and 1970s, playing drums in the early Motown session band, and later producing his own records.

His hits during the Motown glory days include Hitch Hike, Pride & Joy, Can I Get a Witness, You're A Wonderful One, It Takes Two, How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You), I'll Be Doggone, Ain't That Peculiar, Ain't No Mountain High Enough, If I Could Build My Whole World Around You, Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing, You're All I Need to Get By, & I Heard It Through the Grapevine.

But the 70s marked a change with the album What's Going On, which brought us the title track, Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology), Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler).

And later yet, cuts like Let's Get It On & Sexual Healing.
