Today on the Old Mole:

- Historian David Horowitz discusses the Works Progress Administration, chief public employment program during the 1930s Great Depression. While the WPA had a class bias, much  of its great work was designed and performed by ordinary working folks.

On the environment today, if the promises being made by corporate America and its regulators and politicians turn out to be little more than greenwashing, then what can be done?

Also today,  Mole Clayton Morgareidge recently visited Cuba. He’ll give us his impressions, In a piece, "Report from Cuba: Poverty Without Squalor".

Frann Michelle reports on a faculty vote of no confidence at the  University of Wisconsin and elsewhere

And music from the grassroots, recorded in the fields by WPA researchers.
