Uhuru SaSa 2014 POETRY SHARE
On October 25th, the Uhuru SaSa Club held their Poetry Share at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem. Hear poetry by MC & Creative Director Sterling Cunio, So Kosal, Morrice James, Paul Grice, and Tecuma Jackson. This year’s theme was Love and Redemption. Karen James interviews the performers and Uhuru president John L. Smith. Uhuru SaSa welcomes community volunteers to help with their programs at the prison such as U.S.E.L.F. which helps to re-educate, motivate and encourage positive changes.
