Yeah!  It's that time again!  This week is no less fresher, with the ultimate "Style Molester" DJ Wels in the house tonight!  DJ Wels has been grindin on the DJ scene for years, cutting baby crabs with DJ Wicked back in the day.   Today he kicks it around as a stand in DJ with Animal Farm- New Yawk or Portland tho?   He also murders the blocks of downtown Portland doing this and that.

Let's talk about Hip Hop in the city.   Edan comes to The Someday Lounge next week to show his movie "Listening Party"  and to touch your soul via turntables. Nerd Bonerz with Paten Locke.  We'll give away a pair of tickets for you to see all that is hype.  Um.  Did you know Young Jeezy is coming too??  With Cool Nutz, Freddie Gibbs, and Spac3man- which is the perfect rotation of all types of street hustle,  from the city of roses, to the space needle, down South LA, and finally over to the other coast.   We will give away a pair of tickets to that too.   My BFF (only in MY mind)  Jean Grae flys into the city on the 10th for a FREE show with Mr Len, and Philly's Phunkestra at the Crown Room deets here.

The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975 utilizes dozens of hours of 16mm footage shot by Swedish documentarians during the height of the Black Power movement to tell the era’s story of radical revolutionary promise and what happened when that promise went unfulfilled.
