Join us this Tuesday, January 20th at 6 PM on KBOO Community Radio for Transpositive PDX. In the first half of the show, we’ll be joined by Marci Grace Frederic and Sheila Menghert to remember the life and legacy of Claire Hall, the transgender Lincoln County Commissioner who passed away on January 6th. We’ll celebrate her contributions, discuss the impact she had on the community, and honor the path she helped forge for transgender and gender non-conforming people.
In the second half of the show, we will turn our attention to the tragic murder of Renee Good. We’ll discuss the circumstances of her death, explore its broader implications for the transgender community, and share why we believe accountability and prosecution for her killer are essential for justice. This conversation will highlight the ongoing struggles and systemic risks faced by transgender people, and why community awareness and advocacy remain critical.
Transpositive PDX is a biweekly program dedicated to amplifying transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming voices. We focus on activism, arts, culture, and dialogue happening in Portland and beyond. Whether it’s through honoring the lives of trailblazers like Claire Hall or addressing urgent social issues like the murder of Renee Good, our goal is to provide a space for affirmation, reflection, and connection.
Tune in this Tuesday at 6 PM on KBOO (90.7 FM), or stream online at kboo.fm. Your presence as a listener matters — together, we can honor lives, foster community, and keep important conversations alive.
