Prison Pipeline – Monday, October 6th at 6:30 PM
This week on Prison Pipeline, join host Emma Lugo for a conversation with Robin Davidson and Kirk Charlton of Better Neighbors, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing programming and educational opportunities to marginalized populations, especially those impacted by incarceration and addiction disorders.
Better Neighbors believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their lives and become positive, contributing members of their communities. Their flagship program, Art Inside Out (AIO)—developed by Kirk Charlton during his time at the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution—uses art and dialogue to inspire personal transformation, reduce disciplinary issues, and lower recidivism rates.
Together, we’ll talk about how Better Neighbors is helping people change for the better, supporting reentry, and building networks of care and opportunity so that all of us can become “better neighbors.”
Tune in to Prison Pipeline on Monday, October 6th at 6:30 PM on KBOO Community Radio.
