Join us this week for another wide ranging roster of artists. We have a new songwriter we're very excited about - his name is Wes Collins and his tune "Jenny and James" leads off our show. In addition, we feature tracks from Unsung Hero - A Tribute to the Music of Ron Davies. Ron Davies was somewhat of a cult figure, whose best known song, "It Ain't Easy" gets a sultry interpretation here from Shelby Lynne. We also feature another song from that tribute - Robbie Fulks doing "Just the Way It Goes". We also feature a pair of tunes from We Banjo 3 and an outstanding version of "Footprints In the Snow" by Folk music veteran Kathy Kallick. Along the way we find room for a couple of tunes from the British Invasion of the mid-60's, Marianne Faithfull's "Come and Stay With Me" and the Silkie's cover of John Lennon's "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away", as well as the haunting "Arms of Mary" from late-70's English rockers The Sutherland Brothers and Quiver. Then, just for good measure, we include a couple of tunes from mandolinest extraordinaire Sam Bush.
Thanks for checking us out and for listening to your community radio station. Steven
