Local poets Emmett Wheatfall and Mike G along with once local poet Mark Sargent read their poetry

A spring drive edition of The Talking Earth with poet Emmett, Wheatfall, Mark Sargent and Mike G. Host dan raphael may throw in another poem or three.

Emmett Wheatfall lives in Portland where he reads, writes, records, publishes, and performs poetry. Fernwood Press, an imprint of Barclay Press has published 2 books of Emmett's poetry. His collection titled As Clean as a Bone was published in May 2018 through Fernwood Press. As Clean as a Bone was a 2019 Eric Hoffer Award finalist as well as a da Vinci Eye award finalist. Mark Sargent was born in Olympia, and hit the streets, bookstores and bars in Portland as poet and musician, He moved to Greece 30 years ago, and recently came back visit friends & family.. mark sargent is the author of around 20 books of poetry and three novels. Mark lives outside Sparti in a house he designed and built himself, with his wife, two dogs and 4 to 7 cats. When not writing, Mark travels the world, tends his olive trees, reads books and magazines, and plays cosmic saxophone.

Mike G burst fist first from his Michigan womb bellowing his truth. What is his truth? The serious play of his imagination as it encounters mood and circumstance. He's currently one of the hosts of the monthly open mic "Last Stand of the Wildwood Saloon."
