The global pandemic that has lasted nearly a year has brought to light many deficiencies in our healthcare systems in the United States.

Today on this "World Cancer Day,"  KBOO's Annette Newell talks to an expert about new tools for gastrointestinal cancer which they call the advance of the year, and inequities in cancer treatment for BIPOC populations.

Former president of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Howard Burress III discusses the organization's newest report on progress in the fight against cancer.
