Kristin Wilson is chair of the anthropology department at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California. She is the author of Not Trying: Infertility, Childlessness and Ambivalence. She previously taught in the Sociology Department of Georgia State University and worked as an ethnographer at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta. Thoughts about when to stop breastfeeding
I didn't have a choice in the matter. My daughter decided to stop nursing, all by herself, around one year. I was so sad but didn't push the issue and she was just fine with that!
