Our intern, Sara Sneath, is taking over the show for the day. Sara will be speaking about the local non-profit Depave with Eric Rosewall, the Depave program director, and Ted Labbe, a Depave board member and one the original crewmembers for the organization. Joseph Purkey, the lead designer of Depave’s James John Project in St. Johns, will join in the conversation. Together they will cover the history of the organization, its move from “parking lots to paradise” and its upcoming fundraiser on March 9, 2013.
Do you have personal experience with Depave? Do you have something to add to the conversation? Call us during the broadcast at 503-231-8187 or email us at positivelyrevolting at gmail dot com.

Was there
As a member of the Timbers Army contingency, I have to say that was a truly worthwhile endeavor. It was hot, hard work, but SO satisfying to see mounds of soil ready for planting where nothing but a stark slab of asphalt lay only a couple weekends prior. One weekend, visiting opposing team supporters joined the work crew. As a result, the play area now looks more like a park rather than a prison yard.
