Comments

Erin,

I know that this position is targeted for educating the Youth members of KBOO, but wondering if this class can be offered to the other members? I have extensive sound and op experience, mainly in recording and playback, and I would like to expand my understanding into live mixing. Especially for community events and concerts. Do you know if this would be possible or who i should contact to make it a reality?

Thanks,

Brian

Like to see this offered for adult KBOO volunteers as well.

We hope to use this grant funded project to develop a curriculum that we can then share with adults too! It's a relatively small grant at just $1,000 for all expenses, but it can still make a big impact, especially with our Youth Advocate, Erin Yanke, leading the project.

This is only step one... and we're excited to be starting the process! Thanks Alicia!

I am very interested in this project. I have the perfect skill set for it. As an electronic musician, and sound designer the mixer is my "musical" instrument. I know mixers well and can definitely have a good time showing others how to mic acoustic instruments, vocals, drums, the particulars of dealing with noise and patching in electronic instruments (from Keyboards to Gameboys). How can I help?

Elias

I think this got cut off the description... sorry folks!
