This month, Springboard Social Innovation Forum
turns the focus to hunger.
November 12th
6-9 p.m. at Urban Grind
2214 NE Oregon.

This free monthly event, sponsored by Springboard Innovation, is designed to build connections among community members interested in solving local challenges with lasting solutions.
What does social innovation look like?
Who are the innovators among us?
What does it take to launch a good idea into action, and then keep it going?
That’s what this forum is all about.
With art exhibits, dialogue, expert advice, and plenty of real-life examples, Springboard Social Innovation Forum invites you to think. Ask questions. Find your passion. Take action.

Cool Art: Refrigerators Convey Statements about Hunger
at Springboard Social Innovation Forum in November
PORTLAND, Ore.—Local artists are turning used refrigerators into thought-provoking exhibits about hunger for an art installation that coincides with the Springboard Social Innovation Forum on Nov. 12.
From a fridge full of raku-fired ceramic fish to a cooler-sized diorama depicting farmers and rain dancers, the eight transformed refrigerators are intended to inspire conversation and foster creative solutions to the persistent problem of hunger.
