Here is a review and appreciation of Turkish Nobel Prize winner Orhan Pamuk's  latest novel The Museum of Innocence.  The reviewer is Josh Erdahl, and the novel is a story of class, culture and personal struggle in a changing society.

Comments

The book, Museum of Innocence, AND reviewer both seem very interesting.  Review makes me want to read it despite a preference forr non-fiction.  Good JOB!  Josh!

This review encouraged me to locate and read this new book as I had given up on the author's earlier book "Snow."  I've been to Istanbul several times, and there is something quite fascinating about the exotic melange of Eastern/Muslim custom and modern Western culture.  The location alone, between Asia and Europe, gave me an overwhelming sense of its importance in history.
