OSU PLANS TO BULLDOZE PROPERTY FOR HOUSING, PARKING

The Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center is a bustling community center that provides multiple services for immigrants, newcomers and citizens in the hometown of Oregon State University. OSU also owns the big buttery-yellow house that the Center calls home, and the school is meeting significant pushback over its plans for the property. The university wants to bulldoze the Sunflower House and build housing and parking—but that won’t happen if the group Save Our Sunflower House gets its way.

KBOO reporter Sam Bouman spoke late last week with Genevieve Prentice, a member of group, for more.
