Four Palestinians were killed over the weekend by Israeli forces in Gaza.
The victims were protesting Donald Trump’s announcement last Wednesday that he would recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
This recognition denies the legitimate rights of the nearly one million Palestinians who live in Jerusalem, and goes against all signed peace agreements and international law.
Solidarity rallies were held all over the world – with over ten thousand people gathering in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, and a similar number gathering in Turkey and in Lebanon, to protest Trump’s announcement.
In Portland, around two hundred people gathered Friday evening in the wind and cold outside the federal building downtown.
KBOO was there, and brings us the sounds of the protest, beginning with the chant ‘No Wall, no Ban, no Embassy on Stolen Land’
