New series on the business of sex in Portland
This is the eighth episode in KBOO's ten-part series on the business of sex in Portland. In this one we focus on the porn industry. KBOO interviews Dr. Shira Tarrant, an economist who has studied the subject, and we discuss the impact of global corporations, including MindGeek. We also talk with Lily Campbell, a Portland-based maker of porn whose work is "ethical and feminist." And we talk with Amory Jane, a sex education specialist who works at SheBop, a local sex toy store.
