President Donald Trump has partially unveiled his new plan for the country of Afghanistan; a plan that might see the US Military presence in the region increase by four-thousand troops.  Moves like this have far-reaching consequences across the globe and must be carefully considered up against a number of factors. Well, according to Yahoo News, one of these factors for the President came from an unlikely source...miniskirts.  Apparently, one of the methods that advisors close to the President used to persuade him into greater military involvement was to show him a picture from the 1970’s of Afghan women wearing short skirts; claiming that success in the region could see the Middle-Eastern country return to similar value systems.

Houseless residents of the city of Baltimore, Maryland along with activists and advocates organized by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, have launched a tent occupation of Baltimore City Hall in order to demand better treatment from their city leaders. They have requested a meeting with Baltimore Mayor, Catherine Pugh, and other elected officials to discuss a racial equity benefits agreement designed to address economics, criminal and social Justice, and housing issues in non-superficial ways. They want the agreement voted on and passed without amendments or watering down measures by the status quo.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is putting some increased pressure on Pakistan, after allegations of the Middle-Eastern state colluding with terrorist and extremist organizations like the Taliban, and is threatening to withhold US privileges if they don’t, quote, “change their posture”. Tillerson has expressed concern over Pakistan in the past, in respect to their status as a nuclear power. And US Officials have grown more cautious about the safety and security of nuclear warheads; especially with the recent unveiling of President Trump’s new strategy concerning Pakistan’s neighboring state, Afghanistan.
