The Duterte regime's brutal so-called "war on drugs" is really a murderous war on the poor.

Last week the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission of the US House of Representatives examined the thousands of murders as well as other human rights abuses being committed by the Government of the Philippines and its current president, Rodrigo Duterte. The witnesses testified that Duterte's so-called "war on drugs" is really a brutal war on the poor #DumpDuterte

On this edition of Century of Lies, we hear portions of the Commission's hearing, "The Human Rights Consequences of the War on Drugs in the Philippines," including testimony from:

Ellecer Carlos, Spokesperson, iDEFEND, The Philippines
Matthew Wells, Senior Crisis Advisor, Amnesty International
Phelim Kine, Deputy Director, Asia Division, Human Rights Watch
