Tonight on A Different Nature we delve into new releases...
Our first feature album will be Felicia Atkinson's latest work, "Hand in Hand," which combines electronics and vocals for something very strange and surreal. In the words of the record label: This record is meant to be a moment of common thinking and listening in its diversity and abstraction. In the same way a sci-fi novel by Philip K. Dick or a sculpture by Guy Mees can be percieved: trivial, sensitive and mysterious at the same time.
Then we venture into more disturbing territory, with Ben Frost's album "The Wasp Factory" which came out near the end of last year. This unconventional opera was inspired by a horror novel that gets inside the head of a psychopathic teenage murderer.
We'll hear several tracks from each of these albums, and then we'll delve into some other new records as well.
