A poetic commentary by poet Dan Raphael

If you’re looking to open new drive throughs

Our mayor Chuck Hales has some bad news

On our busiest streets

When you want fries and meat

You’ll have to go in where the grease stews

when drivers are hurried and starving

They’re heedless of where they are driving

Tearing out of the lot

While their food is still hot

As bikers for safety are diving

Food tastes so much better with patience

Make your order then have conversation

When you eat in a rush

Food comes back with a gush

Taking time brings more flavor sensations
