Traitor or Patriot?

Edward Snowden is back in the news after a Sunday Times of London story alleging that Chinese and Russian agents had hacked the cache of top-secret files taken by Snowden. This allegation breaks down under scrutiny, but it begs a number of larger questions: Is Snowden a traitor or a patriot? Have his actions interfered with legitimate government anti-terrorism activities and placed us in danger, or are his actions a neccessary response to an unconstitutional surveillance state?
