Queer news & culture.
On this week's Out Loud, we'll be joined by David Weissman, co-founder and co-programmer of QDOC, Portland's annual Queer Documentary Film Festival, happening this year from May 14 through the 17th. Let's find out what documentary filmmakers see when they look at the queer communities we inhabit.
Later in the hour, we'll preview this Saturday's workshop (free and open to the public) called 'LGBT Community: Medicare, Social Security, and You.'
Joining us will be Janet Bowman, Medicare Outreach Coordinator with Aging, Disability, and Veterans Services with Multnomah County., and Ryan Francario, who works with a state-wide Medicare Improvement grant coordinating and performing outreach with Multnomah County Aging, Disability, and Veterans Services.
