yet again, we lost a shining spirit in our artistic world- mr. alphonso 'fonce' mizell... you may know him as the writer/producer of many hits at blue note records (associated with everyone from bobbi humphrey to donald byrd)... you may also be familiar with his works as one of the members of 'the corporation' (who wrote those ubiquitous jackson 5 tracks, such as 'the love you save')- but you may not know who mr. mizell is.
this evening on 'guess who's coming to radio??!! we will present a portion of mr. mizell's prolific works; with 'the corporation', as well as with his brother larry. as we honor mr. mizell, just allow yourself to take in these works and recognize how crucial he was in the notion of intergenerationalism- young people today hear his works through hip hop and jazz interpretations.
