A podcast featuring audio drama, dark comedy, & other unexpected vignettes from Corvallis & beyond.
This is episode 2 of The Spirit of the Forest, an audio drama / dark comedy created by Oregon resident Dan Crall, which reflects upon the sadness, absurdity, and normalcy of modern life.
This episode features a waltz down Reality Lane as interpreted by Dan Crall in his Corvallis neighborhood and at home, a chat or two in the forest with Corvallis icon "Dancing Mike" Ambrosius, a mentor of a troubled teen bored out of his mind by the teen's flow of consciousness, and an experimental narrative recorded at a horse ranch and small farm east of Pendleton, Oregon.
Featuring the music of Matt Kellam, Dan Crall, and Veil of Secrecy, as well as the acting talent of John Knight, Mike Ambrosius, Jim Ward, Dan Crall, Nate Harwood, Leslie Melin, John and Solomon Crall, and some unknown voices from a 1954 home made vinyl record, this episode was recorded mostly in March 2015 in Corvallis, Oregon, and at Little Cultus Lake in the Cascade Mountains, and in an area just east of Pendleton, Oregon.
