In light of last night's Gender Blender on gender discrimination on health care, I thought I'd share information about a new documentary I just heard about.  Now in pre-production, Southern Comforted: Lives Touched by the Documentary, refers to the award winning documentary Southern Comfort, about the life and death of transgender man Robert Eads, who was refused treatment by more than a dozen medial professionals after he was diagnosed with ovariancancer.  The new film, Southern Comforted: Lives Touched by the Documentary examines how trans health care has changed (or not changed) since Eads died in 1999.  You can see a YouTube promo of the film here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_6VminNB2k
