Join cohost Emma Lugo this Monday on Prison Pipeline for a conversation with Alex Wright, Co-founder and Executive Director of Level, a groundbreaking nonprofit that’s transforming access to prison education across the United States.
While only a small percentage of incarcerated people nationwide have access to educational opportunities—whether GED programs, vocational training, or college-level courses—Level is working to change that. Through an innovative sponsorship model, family members and friends can help connect their loved ones in prison to high-quality educational programs, including courses in Entrepreneurship, Internet Technology, and Food Safety.
In this interview, Alex will share what inspired him to co-found Level, how the organization reaches even those in solitary confinement, and how its programs strengthen family connections and improve post-prison outcomes.
Today, Level operates in more than 1,000 prisons nationwide, helping build brighter futures and reduce recidivism through education and human connection.
