The Council on Criminal Justice is a nonprofit think tank that works to advance understanding of the criminal justice policy choices facing the US and to build consensus on solutions. The Council recently hosted a fascinating panel recently to examine these questions, entitled Domestic Violence: Understanding the Data and Policy, to examine these questions.
On this edition of Prison Pipeline we feature highlights from the panel and hear from Stephanie Kennedy, Policy Director at the Council on Criminal Justice; Emily Salisbury, PhD, associate professor of social work at the University of Utah and director of the Utah Criminal Justice Center; Alex Piquero, PhD, professor of sociology and criminology at the University of Miami and former director of the Bureau of Justice Statistics; and Marium Durrani, vice president of policy at the National Domestic Violence Hotline.
