Comics Take on the News will February show will be a panel full of hilarious Portland celebrities.
Umi Om (@Umi_om) is a bisexual and biracial comedian who touches on topics of gender, relationships, and mental health. Umi is Indian and Lebanese. She was born in Hawai'i and has been enjoying the Pacific Northwest since 2018. Stand-up comedy is her longest relationship, going six years strong. She has performed in Honolulu on "Female Comics of Hawai'i," at the Columbia City Theater on “Mixed and Misidentified,” and on “Model Minority.”
Scott II (@averygscottii) is a Portland-based standup comedian and returning Comics Take panelist. He is born and raised in the Midwest, but now resides in Portland Oregon. His comedy focuses on his experiences as a Black, gay man. You can hear him on the show and you can find him staring on the Red Light Special at the NW Black Black Comedy Festival!
Michael Buchanan (@718MichaelB) is an actor, improviser, performance personality and host. Originally from Brooklyn, Michael developed his quick wit and improv skills on the streets of New York City. Today he resides in Portland, Oregon. Michael’s credits include KBOO radio dj, hosting Open Court, an improv jam, at Curious Comedy Theater, hosting the podcast Why are you Funny, and performing in many productions at the Portland Actor’s Conservatory. Michael is also the producer and director of the improv group slightly out of focus.
