Low-Performing Charities Might Lose Tax Subsidies
The Oregon Senate voted overwhelmingly in approval of a landmark bill on Monday. The proposed bill will eliminate tax subsidies for charity organizations that spend over seventy percent of their donations on fundraising and management. If it passes, Oregon will be the first State to have such a law. KBOO's Sarina Fong spoke with Tony Green, the Director of Communications and Policy for Oregon's Department of Justice.
