The current GOP House majority is no exception -- except this time they might actually bankrupt the country to do it. Traci and Abe take your calls. Social Security
I was unable to get through this morning..
I wondered if you could comment or have knowledge of what Democrats are doing to preserve Social Security (I am a Democrat, by the way). The demise of SS may happen because of aggressive measures by the Republicans but it will be eliminated by default because it ranks so low on the Democrats agenda. Tracey had helpful comments on the simple ways to fix it but no politician seems to have the political will to push a fix forward.. I believe benefits are set to be reduced in 10 years or so. Biden's criticism of the Republicans plans was well placed but it negated the inaction of the Democrats over the last 30 years.
