The Guantanamo Lawyers: Inside a Prison Outside the Law: Interview Jonathan Hafetz

Jonathan Hafetz of The National Security Project of the ACLU joins host Llinda Olson-Osterlund to talk about the new book  he co-edited, The Guantanamo Lawyers: Inside a Prison Outside the Law. This book has the voices of over a hundred attorneys from all types of practices who volunteered to defend the prisoners at Guantanamo. It is a unique behind the scene view of the prisoners, the camp and the attorneys. And an unblinking expose of the failures of our justice system . Meanwhile, priosners cleared for release continue to be held. Hafetz said the ongoing uncertainty of when they will be freed after years of imprisonment is having a  horrible toll on the prisoners.

President Obama has the power to call an end to "indefinate detention" and restore the Rule of Law. As Commander in Chief, Guantanamo Prison Camp is his responsibilty.
