Talking Earth with poets Devon Balwit, Lee Taulbee and Charles Seluzicki.

Tonight's poets are Devon Balwit, Lee Taulbee and Charles Seluzicki. Your host dan raphael will be reading some poems by Terrance Hayes, Lew Welch and himself.

When not teaching or writing, Devon Balwit makes pilgrimages to her neighborhood book boxes and tries to protect her free-range chickens from persistent coyotes.
Her two most recent collections are --"Dog Walking in the Shadow of Pyongyang" from Nixes Mate Books, and "Rubbing Shoulders with the Greats" --from Seven Kitchens Press.
For more samples of her poems, books, and reviews, please visit her website at Devon Balwit Poet.

Lee Taulbee. Lee is a queer poet living and writing in Portland, Oregon. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from San Diego State University. Her work has appeared in Iron Horse Literary Review, Los Angeles Review, and the San Diego Poetry Annual, among others. These days, she spends more time talking to cats than people, and that feels ok.

Charles Seluzicki was born in Baltimore Maryland in 1944. He received a bachelor’s degree at Loyola University, did graduate work at Creighton, and received a master of liberal arts (history of ideas) from John Hopkins.
He has been an antiquarian and small press publisher sine 1977 when he began to issue books under Charles Seluzicki Fine Books, Trace Editions and Editions Plane. His chapbook Elegiac, which he’ll be reading from, was published last year as the first volume in the Cox Family Poetry Chapbook Series from Carnegie Mellon University Press. Elegiac is available at Broadway Books and Mother Foucalt’s books.
